NEW MANCHESTER HOTEL
The Engineering Practice has recently been appointed on this new build 133 bed hotel in Manchester. The building will consist of five floors and full catering and entertainment facilities.
GEBERIT
The Engineering Practice was commissioned by Sackville Developments (Warwick) Limited and Geberit UK to provide mechanical and electrical consultancy design services for the Cat A offices and the Cat B fit out for the new 25,000sqft headquarters and training academy for Geberit UK, suppliers of pipework and fittings and high end sanitary fittings. The new two storey building provides air conditioned offices, a high quality showroom for their bathroom and pipework products alongside an academy studio for installers from all over the country to be trained to install their products.
CHELTENHAM COLLEGE
The Engineering Practice has continued with its working relationship with Cheltenham College and has recently completed the design of a combined heat and power plant for the Sports Hall. Services comprise space heating, hot water and a swimming pool. The Engineering Practice has recently commenced the design for refurbishment of the dining facilities, including new kitchens, and ancillary areas.
TRENT VALLEY CREMATORIUM
As retained consultants to Dignity Funeral Services, The Engineering Practice has been appointed to design the M&E services for a new build crematorium in Trent Valley. The building comprises a 140 seat chapel, crematory, waiting room, visitor reception, family room and associated office areas with a strong design emphasis on Natural lighting.
As well as designing the mechanical ventilation and comfort cooling to the chapel, TEP carried out extensive computer modelling of a number of options to ensure maximum daylight factor with minimum glare.
BIRMINGHAM RESIDENTIAL
As Birmingham is “Booming” with new residential projects, TEP is working on over 1,200 new build apartments across the city. One such project is in the Jewellery Quarter where TEP are instructed by ‘Court Collaboration’ and ‘Prosperous Global China’ to provide mechanical and electrical consultancy services for new apartments spread over five storeys including basement car parking.
HALLIWELL JONES
Continuing our long term relationship with Halliwell Jones, The Engineering Practice was appointed to undertake concept design and specification of the Mechanical and Electrical services for the refurbishment works to the BMW Mini dealership.
Two separate buildings were refurbished to new brand standards with new air conditioning, heating, LED lighting and fire alarms. Showrooms were reconfigured and updated along with new external lighting and CCTV. Works were phased to ensure continued trading during the installation period.
The Co-operative Group Food Limited
The Engineering Practice has continued to provide M&E consultancy services for New River REIT (UK) Ltd on their roll out program of new convenience stores across the UK for The Co-operative Group Food Limited.
The projects include new build store and refurbishments of existing buildings.
